Just wondering how many out there will have the groomsmen wearing suits or tuxes (with the vests and the whole shabang)? I am not a big fan of the really formal look of the tux, so right now I am planning on suits. Thoughts?

we went with chocolate brown tuxes, that way at the reception they were able to take off the jacket and just have the vest and tie showing [the vest was a different color from the tie] . It was also the cheaper route, because if they had to buy suits they would have had to buy shirt and tie as well, but with the tux rental its all included

My guys wore grey tuxes to make it more casual looking. Here’s what they wore:
ETA; Same as Bells, we had the guys take their jacket off after pictures and wore just the vest and tie. It was fine!

Our guys wore suits because we figured it made more sense for them to buy something they’d re-use than rent a tux.

We went with charcoal grey suits for our outdoor spring wedding.

we are doing suits – Fiance said he didn’t want to look like he was going to the prom LOL

Fiance wants a tux. He says he rocks a tux 🙂 I’ve never seen him in one in person yet, but I’ve seen pics from his brothers wedding. So, whatever he wants. I’d be fine either way, I’m just excited to see him in something formal! (We’re not fancy people LOL)

I love the suit LOOK, but we technically will end up in tuxes.
I prefer how suits are more fitted, and slender looking (generally) I also like the more casual, chic look that suits give off.
However when looking we ended up in plain suits but we’re still going for the very classic look. Black tux, black vest, black tie, white shirt.

I don’t really like the look of tuxes personally. I think they look like waiters or guys from a gangster movie.
We did just vests. I wish we could have rented matching ones, but finances being what they were for our guys it wasn’t really an option. It turned out fine though.

We used a tailored style of tux with euro tie and vest- all in black, with silver buttonthings and a white or ivory shirt. DH wanted classic and more formal. None of them wore the jacket after pictures which we were both okay with.

We are doing suits, with vests and ties. Me and Fiance fought over this until we actually went to the store and saw a suit. Haha. He liked it much better. Tuxes are too square to me, and I just like the look of suits much better.

I like the look of grey suits, but those greay tuxes look pretty awesome too!

I let my husband decide…he chose suits!
