  • Wedding: June 2018

Mine is in June and I’m ridiculously unorganized, but this is what I got:

Date and Venue booked

Photographer booked

Officiant booked

Invites sent (it’s a destination wedding, so we sent them far in advance)

Dress bought

Hotel rooms booked

Hair and make up booked

Website up

Guest list finalized

In progress:

Decor ideas (still hazy)

Day of time line

Music for walking down aisle etc.

Things to panic about:

Bridesmaid dresses

Menu (it’s a hotel? So they’re doing it? But when do we do that? I don’t know!)

Transportation to destination

Wedding favours

Bridal party gifts – I found these amazingly cute designer umbrellas that I want to get because it’s a rainy destination, but is that a stupid idea???

Dress alterations – I gained one pound this week! Damn it! It was the rice krispie squares. I’m on a diet. But how could I resist a million rice krispie squares?!

Groomsmen. We don’t have any and he’s refusing to choose any. (His first two choices can’t make it.)

Groom’s outfit.

Do we need a registry?!

Can we NOT get wedding rings because our engagement rings are so pretty? Or does that defeat the purpose of a wedding?

Ceremony site is booked but they never sent me the license? Weren’t they supposed to? Life is hard.

  • Wedding: June 2018

Wedding is June 30th

  • Save the Dates sent: ‎Done
  • Website Up: ‎Done
  • Registry Made: ‎NA, not having a registry
  • Photographer & Videographer booked: ‎Done
  • Decorator booked: Will DYI and it will be minimal. Will depend on how many people RSVP and how many tables we need, which will then determine how many table runners and centerpieces we get.
  • Day-of Timeline:  Roughly, still waiting on a final ceremony time from our Priest
  • Passports: NA
  • Bride’s wedding band: Not yet, he asked for ideas today.
  • Invitations: We have chosen the ones we will order, but can’t order until we have the ceremony time from the Priest
  • Dress(es): Done, my dress and our 2 girls’ dresses have already arrived!
  • Apartment searching (moving to FI’s city after marriage): in progress
  • Priest and church booked: Done
  • Marriage license: won’t be done until a few days before the wedding
  • Cake: Done
  • Hair and makeup: Done
  • DJ: Done

Still Need to Do: Order my jewelry and belt for dress, order hair extensions, choose wedding day lip color, find FI’s shirt, tie, suspenders, vest, and socks. We’re buying his outfit, not renting, and we have only found his pants and shoes so far. Find a wedding band for him. He doesn’t plan on wearing it after the wedding, so I’m not stressing about this one too much. Buy a few thank you gifts. Find shoes for our girls to wear. Cake topper. Hoop skirt/slip for under my dress. Alterations. Card box. I think that’s it…. ??

akshali2000 :  I got sooo confused when I saw ‘brides wedding band’ on the list of things you have done but that you still needed a DJ….it took me a minute to realize you were talking about a wedding ring, lol.

So we are getting married June 23rd 2018 and I feel like we have so much to get done. I have:

-wedding party

-honeymoon booked

-save the dates sent

In progress:

-we have met with the cake person and have another consultation next month

-meeting with florists

-looking at wedding bands (rings! lol)

-looking at invitations

-music…we have a band in mind (family friend’s band, they’re amazing but thinking we might want a DJ so they could be the MC as well).

-blocking out hotels

-bridesmaid dresses

-dress fitting for myself, as well as getting shoes and accessories

Whew, I’ve got my work cut out for me!
