I’m in California as well! This 103 heat is killing me. Anyways, I don’t have a story but I do have a photo. A couple years ago I went to Charleston, SC for vacation. For whatever reason I was taking photos of our hotel room… And I was surprised at what I saw. Maybe it’s just a shadow but it sure doesn’t look like it! After I looked it up, turn out our hotel was haunted by a woman in a purple dress… Here’s the hotel and the “haunting story” for reference 🙂  http://www.millshouse.com/faqs.aspx#gref

Mine is not really a story but I do believe that I encountered something supernatural as a child.

When I was very young my family moved from a small city to a tiny house out in the country. The house was pretty run down as no one had lived in it in quite a while. My mom and dad fixed it up and made it a home. The only thing that was left by the previous owners was an old rusty swing set. The frame was still sturdy so my dad left it but replaced all of the swings. I apparently used to spend hours out on the swing all by myself. My mom told me that she used to see me talking to someone out there. She finally asked me who I was talking to and I told her they were my friends, two little boys who like my swing set. My mom always gave credit to my wild imagination but my aunt still firmly believes that the little boys were the ghosts of two kids who went missing in the same area 20 years before we moved there.

I don’t remember any of it but my aunt brings it up every now and again. She even thinks that my irrational fear of the dark has something to do with something that I may have seen as a child. I’m not really sure what I believe but I would assume there is some underlying reason why I am 22 and still very afraid of the dark.
