Fall wedding. The changing colours are so beautiful.

Depends on the variables. Venue would play a big role. I went to a winter wedding once, and the reception was outdoors in Denver in a heated tent. It was warm, but me being a southerner, I wasn’t all that warm.

If it’s a summer wedding, I want access to air conditioning and shade. Not only for me but for the elderly and young guests attending. There are a lot of good summer venues around me, but few offer good options for climate control.

I am going to say Fall because I wish I could’ve planned a fall wedding. Teacher here, so I can’t take off work for that.

Definitely depends on the location! Where I’m at, it’s so hot in the summer that summer weddings have the potential to be miserable if any portion of it is outside. So Sept-Nov weddings are popular. But if I were in a cooler climate, summer might be great!

ETA: However, for attendance, a summer wedding is easier to plan for as a guest. For us, summer is busy with weddings and other trips/events, and things calm down in the fall as we get back into our routine. Summer would be easier for families since it’d be summer break.

Depends on if it is outside or not. The summer here is SC can be a bear! So I would say fall.

emeraldlady:  As a guest, I love attending summer weddings. The weather is pretty temperate in LA, so even when it’s hot, it’s (usually) not unbearable. I just also love the feeling of long summer nights.

That said, I am having my wedding in the fall, because my Fiance is a sweaty monster and would probably melt under the heat in a suit 🙂

Depends on whether it’s outside and where you live. I guess I’d rather be a little sweaty than a little cold, so I voted for Summer! I enjoy the warmth!

    emeraldlady:

I am biased because I want a fall wedding. However October autumn is special to my SO and I, also we live in Florida so the summers are unbearably hot here. Plus I feel like most weddings take place Spring/Summer so we wanted to be a little different. Doesn’t mean you have to do a ‘fall theme’, I never thought you have to match you wedding colors with whatever seas you were getting married in.

emeraldlady:  I would rather carry an umbrella then have sweaty/frizzy hair…so I pick autumn.

I am getting married in the fall and I find things to be cheaper cause it isnt in full blown wedding season. You are also more likly to be able to get all the vendors you want. But the cons are its easier for people to attend summer weddings and the weather is nicer!

It depends. If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, fall might be better if the summer will be really hot. Fall has nice colors with the leaves changing, but people in school might have trouble getting to a wedding during the school year. There’s not really a “best” time, but I’m sure your guests will love your wedding no matter when it is.

I chose a summer wedding for myself because of the sun setting much later. Also where I live, summer nights become beautiful and breezy. I think it’s a very personal decision though…to me summer weddings are just a great combination of fun and romance. But a wedding I went to this past fall was gorgeous weather too, so just personal preference.

I got married in August 2001 and that day was hot, So that’s why I’ve chosen the month of, October 2016 to renwew our wedding vows it’s much cooler.
