We are getting married at 6:00 PM at the end of July and I can’t decide if I should wear my hair up or down. The ceremony and reception are both outdoors.
Any other summer brides past or future with advice???

I am doing a low pull back bun. I wanted it down but remembered ours it at peak time of day and its usually muggy and my hair no matter the amount of product never will hold up, frizz takes over! Plus I thought I’d be more comfortable with it off my neck. Just something to think of!

I’m doing a low curly do… my hair doesn’t hold any style well if it’s down and I know any heat or sweat won’t help that either!

I am doing an informal updo like Bear9206. Something in the low bun family. You want to be comfortable and look chic at the same time. You can always wear your hair down to the rehersal dinner or another event. Save the updo for your big day!

Up! I get hot even in the winter, so I know I’ll be hot in September. Plus with all the hugging and dancing, I think it will be just easier to have it up.

You can see a handful of mine here. i WAS going to do all down, but MO is hot and hella humid in the summer and decided that my hair looking good for half the day wasn’t as good a choice as it looking good ALL day. Even my Future Sister-In-Law said that she can’t believe people wear their hair down in the summer for weddings and she’s a stylist! Frizz city. You can see my hair here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/i-got-mad-photoshop-skills-my-bridal-portrait-pics
It’s more of a low-do. I was adamant about avoiding prom hair.
I’m also getting married at 6pm. BUT, CAlifornia is not humid. Is your reception outside? You really COULD wear it down. But, people are going to be touching you a lot and you’ll look less disheveled with it up I think =].

I’m wearing my hair half up for my August wedding. It might be a huge mistake but I just don’t feel like myself with my hair up. When my hair is up I feel like I just have it in a pony tail or a pony tail with a part. I thought about doing something "loosely up" but I really think it will just annoy me too much. I’ve worn my hair down to outdoor summer events in the past so I really don’t see what the big deal is.

<span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana”>Thanks for the advice! I usually wear my hair down so I was thinking it would be more "me". CA may not be very humid but it can get pretty darn hot in July. I have my trial on Friday so we’ll see how it goes!<span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana”> <span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana”>I have another question about color. I was a blonde for most of our relationship and recently dyed my hair dark brown. I’m debating going blonde for the wedding. Has anyone changed their hair color only for the wedding and how far in advance did you do it?<span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana”> <span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana”>Ejs4y8 – I love your hair it looks great and not “promy”
