I won’t do an updo, that’s for sure. It’s simply a style I’ve never liked. I also don’t like the romantic look… It’s not me as I never wear my hair curly. I want my hair down, but off my face. I’m somewhat debating on straight because straight hair is just so me with a TOUCH of saucy curls at the tips.

IF you have a good stylist, your hair will stay put. If you want curls, I’d invest in pre curled extensions, not necessarily for lenght, but to ensure your curl stays the way it wants.

Any pics of your hair?

I think an updo looks better. Nothing to do with the weather. But the dress has nice straps and blingy bodice. Wearing your hair down might distract it.

stokesto:  . Personally i would do an updo bc August can he the hottest month. I know my hair wouldnt stay styled bc i have curly hair and it wod frizz and turn into a poodle!

I wore my hair up on my wedding day and thank God i did bc it ended up being really hot that day and i know for sure if i wore it down it would have lost its style.

What about doing something half up half down? Or maybe something side swept? This way its out of your face? I know when I get hot and my hair is on my back it gets annoying. I also think how you wear your hair depends on the style of the dress as well

stokesto:  I got married June 19th of last year. It was a  beautiful day however it got rather hot. We had our first look outside, bride and groom pics outside and wedding party pics outside…. by the time the ceremony rolled around, I took my dress off and put it in front of a fan, my Maid/Matron of Honor had the blow dryer on cold setting and was blow drying the sweat off my body- haha it was hilarious. My hair was half up/hald down. I loved it, but i did re-curl my hair 3-4 times myself throughout the day which was annoying.

The below is after 2.5 hours of sweating. Hair was falling flat but I re-curled for the ceremony.

stokesto:  lol I had to google based on the name and mistyped the number. But I still like an updo more with this dress.  Most of the details are on top. Its better to show it off.

stokesto:  I LOVE your updo! That is so gorgeous!  Simple, but beautiful.  I also did an updo for my wedding day a zillion years ago (okay not a zillion, just 4 1/2).

I think your updo is gorgeous! I got married late May and its was suuuuuper hot and humid (rained in the morning). I went with an updo and am 100% glad I did! I didn’t have to worry about my hair falling or getting sweaty or frizzy or anything!

For summer – definitely an updo. You won’t have to worry about it all day, and it will keep its style in the heat 🙂

In Jamaica in Sept:

I told the stylist at the resort that I wanted it down and she basically wouldn’t let me. She said, “You’ll thank me later.” And I absolutely did!
