Please could you let me know what sunblock you’re using on your face. It’s summer here and I’m looking for one with a higher SPF than the one I currently have plus one that wont make my skin break out any more then it already has cos pregnancy has given me teenager skin.
Thanx for the help

I’ve always used cover girl’s tinted moisturizer every day. I think it’s SPF 15. For days when I know I’ll be spending more time outdoors or it’s really sunny I use neutrogena’s oil free 60 for my face. I’m super pale, and it’s been good for me so far, so hopefully it works through pregnancy as well.

I can’t comment on one which one is least likely to cause breakouts, but you might want to look at some of the recent research about SPF ratings.
Basically an SPF of 30 blocks about 97% of the UV rays. An SPF of 45 blocks 98%. Any higher SPF and you’re talking about differences of less then 1%, some articles say its around .0001%. So a higher SPF isn’t really protecting you any better.
What will make a difference is how much sunscreen you apply. They recommend applying 1oz (1 shot glass full) for the whole body in a swim suit, and a penny sized dollop of that should be for just the face. It should also be reapplied every 2 hours if you are outside. After 2 hours you could be wearing SPF 800000…… and it would still need to be reapplied.

First off, there’s no point in using anything over 30 SPF (especially if it costs more). Anything above that will wear off no matter the quality before the extra SPF would matter and such sunblocks give us a false sense of security that we are covered. So if you get something higher than SPF 30, pretend it’s 30.
As for suggestions, I like the Aveeno for faces one.

I really like Neutrogena’s dry touch sunblock for summer. I have a spf 45 and that’s my favorite for if I am outside a lot or at the beach, but for everyday use I go with my regular Oil of Olay moisturizer which is spf 15.

I use Clinique City Block SPF 40 every day of the year and love it

I switch it up a lot. Right now I’m using Clearasil SPF15 moisturizer, but I’ve also used and liked face sunscreens by Aveeno and Peter Thomas Roth with high SPF.
One thing that really irritates my skin and makes me break out is artificial fragrance, especially in lotions, so I avoid sunscreens and moisturizers that contain it.
