I used to buy 2% for me and whole for my husband, but we wouldn’t drink it all fast enough. Now i just get whole. I only really use it for my daily oatmeal and coffee so maybe like a 1/4 cup a day, so I figure it’s fine. I actually like it better now that I got over the “eww whole milk” stigma.

1%, if it wasn’t for my husband hating skim we would drink that.

Organic whole milk, but adult humans shouldn’t drink copious amounts of milk anyway.

I’ve only had skim since whenever my mother switched us as kids.
i hate the mouth feel of liquids with fat in them. Even 1% feels gross to me…and I love the crisp taste of skim, too. 🙂

I love almond milk but they don’t sell it where I live now… DH buys whole because it’s the easiest to find. I honestly don’t care much when it comes to regular milk.

@Skittles131: organic 1 or 2% and almond milk- we drink a ton of almond milk! I like reg milk in my tea/coffee and hot choc.

Semi-skimmed for me – your 2%.
Skimmed milk seems to serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever. It ruins perfectly good water and bears no resemblance to milk.
When I was a kid we used to have Gold Top (that’s Channel Island milk) which is super, full fat and my mother and I used to take turns the cream on our cereals. Quite how I have such boring cholesterol levels now is something of a mystery! Nowadays I dislike full fat milk in tea because it tastes far too rich but I’ll happily have it in coffee.

@Skittles131: I’m allergic to dairy and milk so I have to buy almond or rice milk. I love it. I don’t like soy for some reason. My FH buys his own milk but sometimes he drinks mine.

Whole milk!! Everything else is just watery and we eat it in moderation. I may have cereal once a week but it is mostly for our coffee.

Depending on my mood either 2% or whole, but always organic. Lately I’ve been buying whole milk since I’m not able to keep much food down, so I need the extra fat/calories. DH doesn’t care so long as there’s milk for his morning cereal.

I think skim is Trim Milk, i.e. the light green top which is 0.5% fat. Lite Milk, i.e. the light blue top has 1.5% fat, so in between 1% and 2% (at least this is correct for Meadow Fresh, I assume Anchor, Signature Range, etc. are similar).
ETA: Actually, didn’t there also used to be milk with a dark green top? Is that still around? Maybe that was 1%.

+1! I’m the same, I always drank skim milk when I was younger, and so now anything with more fat in it just tastes creamy and weird. It all depends on what you’re used to.

Fiance likes whole milk, I prefer skim… so when I’m at the store I just pick up the one with the best expiration date! Our favorite brands are Organic Valley or Horizon.

Organic soy vanilla. I have issues with the dairy industry.

My husband grew up on skim and I grew up on 2% so we compromise and buy 1%
