    @bonbonsparklesMD:  We had a Sunday wedding. Our ceremony started at 3:30 and lasted about 30 minutes. The reception was 4-10. It worked out perfectly!

    I would be afraid of starting earlier because it would not feel like a wedding. BUT you do not want to start late because people have work the next day.

    We’re planning a 4:30pm ceremony, with dinner to begin at 6:15 or so. That should give folks time to get home before midnight.

    If the wedding was local to us (within half an hour) and it didn’t start until 6pm we would likely leave by 9pm. I think 2:30-8:30 is the best option.
