Has anyone else experienced this….
Went to Davids Bridal a few weeks ago to try on dresses…Loved all their staff and management, and had a great experience!
Out of the blue I’ve started recieving phone calls from Moors (a mens suit company) to tell me about promotions they have going on…saying they heard from Davids Bridal about my upcoming wedding. Recieving these phone calls not just once a day, but they are calling me 5 or 6 times every day!!! Seriously?
I phoned Davids Bridal today to ask them why my personal information had been given out, and they played dumb. Am I wrong to be annoyed

No, not at all – same thing happened to me. Firmly tell the people who call you have absolutely zero interest and do not wish to be called anymore.

David’s Bridal is NOTORIOUS for doing this! Even when you uncheck the “please send me information from your affiliates!” box on their surveys/emails/etc. Rude!

Tell Moore’s your wedding is cancelled. That should stop the calls :p

David’s Bridal is notorious for this – and for playing dumb.

Don’t even get me started about David’s Bridal….. I didn’t even try on wedding dresses there… only my bridesmaids got dresses. Since then, I’ve received endless calls from The Men’s Warehouse, random photographers and videographers… in addition to e-mails. The topper was when I got a call from some lady saying I had won a Mary Kay Makeover Party that I entered at David’s Bridal – obviously I didn’t enter anything…. and then she got angry when I told her I didn’t want it. She literally called me and was like – well you won, so can you come on Thursday and who are you bringing. I was going to complain (not that it helps, but I figured it would be a good way to release some of this wedding stress!) but I was waiting until all the bridesmaid dresses arrived. Then I had a problem with shipping on one of them and a super sweet girl helped me out so I just dropped it. But yeah – same thing you’re going through. Eventually the phone calls will stop – at least mine did.

I’ve heard about this happening! Either I’ve been lucky (I haven’t received any phone calls or emails), or I must have checked off the right box.

I’ve receieved two emails (same ones) telling me I won a makeover day with Mary Kay…I’m sorry, but no..and I’ve gotten a voicemail from a company telling me I supposedly won some toasting flutes or something…don’t remember…but I looked up the number and some people said it was a scam…I don’t know…haha Fortunately, that’s been all.

yeah I got like 100 calls, you tell them you’re not interested. The calls stop after a while though.
I am annoyed with DB for a different reason. I ordered a Bra from them online, and then returned it. It’s been almost two months and I have not gotten my money back.

Unfortunately, that’s someting they do. It’s the same way I feel about entering contests at the bridal show/fair now because the companies never quit calling. No, I don’t need new widows and siding. No, I don’t want your “free gift.” No, I definitely don’t want a Mary Kay facial.

I had the same problem. And the mens warehouse in Santa Monica was calling me to make an appointment. Why the fuck would I drive an hour out of my way when there are 4 tux stores in a 10 mile radius to my house. Umm no.

This was happening to me…. so many calls. Then I changed my number and I don’t get any calls anymore (for me) but the person who used to have this number gets the same calls… I can never win. =(
