I had a few pairs of jeans that got tight immediately and I started to freak out thinking I was gonna be big as a house. Bloat went away, morning sickness kicked in, I lost 27lbs and now those pants are too big on me. I know I’m an odd case but I think its hard to predict what exactly is going to happen. I’d say for now maybe invest in a bella band to help you get thru the transition period.

I’m six weeks and yes, bloating.  I said to my husband tonight, “Oh.  I won’t feel not-bloated again for what, at least a year?  Oh.”

You know that bloating right before your period starts that is the only bright side to getting your period?  Right.  Period’s not coming.

🙂  Funny the things you think about.

I am 10 weeks and HUGELY bloated. I used to take water pills to get rid of my pms bloat- I had no idea how bad it could actually be. My doctor told me some women bloat up to 5 pounds in 1 day!! He also said that around 14-16 weeks the bloat will start to disappear and then the bump appears.

You’re not alone- we’re all going thru it.

When I got pregnant I almost immediately felt bloated.  I’ve been thin my whole life so I thought our little secret was glaringly obvious.  Now, at 33 weeks, I look back at those pictures and laugh.  Seriously, though, I went through the bloated/chubby phase and then that gradually turned into the small baby bump.  I also pretty immediately didn’t want restrictive clothing on my belly.  Felt claustrophobic.  And while I do look forward to the day where I can wear normal clothes again, I LOVED the switch to maternity pants.  But I did buy the belly band from Target (I’d recommend a size larger than you think you need) and I bought a few pairs of lounging pants from them (t-shirt fabric kind of thing) in a size larger than normal.  I can still wear them.

Oh I hear you honey.  I was EXTREMELY bloated — to the point that I felt nauseaus often — for about 5 or 6 weeks.  I was alwas belching or needing to belch — it was just awful!  However, the good news is it went away for me around week 12.  I really hope the same happens for you.  I don’t really have any tips — I just had to ride it out….

oh. my. dear.

i am right there with you. i just found out i’m pregnant a few days ago – i’m only 4 weeks at this point – and i am so bloated AND gassy! how is that even possible? aren’t they opposites?! lol. it started yesterday and today it is pretty intense. not cute. but then again, morning sickness hasn’t kicked in yet, so maybe i’ll be cursing myself in a week or two.

but…im still just so happy/excited/shocked that i’m actually pregnant, so i am welcoming any and all symptoms with open arms 🙂
