picnic in the park.

Even if its PB and J sandwiches, have fun with it. Bring nice plates maybe some wine and cut up fruit. Blanket and eat and chat. Maybe a frisbee to toss around.

We are both super broke right now too!

We try and go out to dinner sometimes with a Groupon.

You could check and see if there are any free outdoor movies in your town, we have those in the park near us sometimes.

Ice cream and a walk we have definitely done.

Board game night.  Make some kind of bet to make it more fun.

Netflix on the couch lol.

Go to the swimming pool (it’s usually cheap like $2 a person).

Go for a hike and camp at the end somewhere free.

Cook a new recipe together.

Dinner and a movie indoors. ( You could do a theme, like spaghetti ( super cheap) with some candles, italian music in the background, with some sort of italian movie… Or any other sort of culture variation

Rollerblade/bike ride, and a stop for ice cream, or a hotdog at a stand.

A drive through the countryside, with a couple of coffees, and timbits.

Pick strawberries, and then make a couple of pies together.

Go for a stroll through the farmers market, buy some fresh meat, veggies, etc, and make a nice lunch with eachother.

Picnic in a park, and look at clouds together, and just…talk. You could even hike to a nice picnic spot.

Or you can combine a few of these together, and make a day out of it.

Star gazing, if you can get to a place with a clear sky.  Print out a constellation map from online and try to find them.  Sparkling juice is a cheap alternative to wine/champagne.  Pack a blanket and some candles and you’re set!

game night at home

picnic at the park or even on your living room floor- could make this a romantic one with candles ๐Ÿ™‚

movie night at home- popcorn and you can get the movie theatre candy at the gas station/grocery store

not that gas is cheap but sometimes we just go for a drive..it’s a great way to talk without a lot of distractions

we live in a small town with quaint shops downtown so once in a while we go for a walk down there, browse and stop for ice cream

not sure where you live but if you have lakes around you could rent a canoe or petal boat cheap

That’s all I can think of at the moment

We’re always doing the dinner & movie nights! We redbox stuff all the time, I’ve not rented a movie or bought a movie in a LONG time. Our “fancy” nights are when we’ll go to Dairy Queen after supper and have our ice cream on the patio together. Nothing wrong with being broke! You just have to get creative ๐Ÿ˜‰

We often will try to make meals together that we would normally go out for or take-out. My hubs loves to make different kinds of pizzas. We also go out to a local burger joint for cheesy fries and burgers, tonight he’s making those for us here at home. THEN we’re getting ice cream ๐Ÿ˜‰

@beatriz: LMAO!  It is true though, if this is something that you do… I remember one of my favorite dates, we put a futon mattress on the floor, watched movies, ate grapes, paté and cheese, drank wine, played strip poker… the list goes on but we spent the whole day/evening on that mattress… ๐Ÿ™‚
