I saw these “ice gems” on facebook. I thought they may look pretty at a winter wedding, scattered outside the venue in the snow, lining the aisle sitting out on tables etc. It’d be cool to add some fake flowers and then freeze them or lightly dye them with juice or food dye.
They made them by filling balloons with water and a little dye and leaving them outside to freeze. You’d hang them up if you don’t want a flat bottom. I don’t know how to post a link (anyone wanna tell me how?) but here’s the pic of them:

How cute!!! This would even be cute for the holidays, when family is coming over to gather. Wonder if you could put a glow stick in each to line the sidewalks at night??

You can buy LED lights and put one under each ball. It woukd be pretty Xmas decor.

@JennyPPB: I don’t think a glowstick would work, because you’d have to freeze it, and every experience I’ve had with glowsticks + freezer = dead glowstick
