Lots of cardio – pilates – planks (suck, but so worth it) – and a healthy diet/digestive system

If I understand your question correctly, you are skinny enough but need some more definition. So, I would say Pilates. Pilates exercises incorporate all of the abdominal muscles, instead of just the rectus (what you use to do crunches). Particularly ones that focus on the transversus abdominus will be helpful, because that muscle acts sort of as a girdle.

Try Youtube for tons of free exercise videos, or Groupon etc. for deals on local classes!

A lot of models also intentionally drop water weight before runway stuff/photo shoots. So their abs don’t necessarily look that cut 100% of the time.

I’d try drinking more water to flush your body out, reducing your salt intake, and eating more fiber.

@carbear02:   I want to look like her too!  But you’re much more short-waisted than she is.  I am too, so I feel your pain.  You can get more definition but you can’t do anything about the lack of space between your ribs and hip bones.

You also really need to realize that ALL of those photos are photoshopped. You aren’t seeing a real person – you’re seeing a real person whose image has been manipulated to the enth degree to present an unachievable version of “perfection” that advertisers KNOW doesn’t exist in the real world.
