@mg8301:  My wife (who we are trying to get pregnant currently) has a SUPER short surge too.  She ovulated on CD 15 this month and on CD 14, at 6:30 am her opk was almost postive.  10:30 pm it was positive (not blazing but equal maybe slightly darker lines) by the afternoon it was back negative again so if we had only tested in the morning and evening, we would have completely missed it.  Her ovulation was confirmed by BBT temp shift.

Mine have always been SUPER short. We’re talking low, high, peak in one day, back to low by the next morning. Once mine start going from white to a hint of a line, I have to test 3-4 times a day to make sure I don’t miss it!

@mg8301:  probably!  I have a longer surge so when we started tracking her it took us a little bit to figure out why we were missing hers.  Good luck to you!

Im new to testing – but the instructions on the ones i bought state some people can have really short ones and they suggest testing multiple times a day so you dont miss it

@mg8301:  I have a “Rapid Rise” as well. I’ll go from low in the morning, to PEAK that evening. It’s frustrating so I have just started testing 3-4x per day. Also use Clearblue Digital tests along with Amazon cheapies just to confirm that CBD shows Peak. I use Premom app to determine how dark the line is. I also ovulate pretty early in my cycle CD11.
