If you’re noticing big, out of the blue changes with your period then I would call your doctor. Just ask if it’s something they’ve heard from other patients before. It’s probably fine, but if you’re worried you should probably call just for peace of mind.

Is playtex the kind that flares out in a V shape? I hate that kind.. they always leaked for me too. I just use drug store brand, but only the classic tampax style.

Before I started BC the only thing that didn’t leak on my heaviest days was the instead soft cup, now I use OB tampons.

I generally just buy the shoprite store brand (I forget what it is called). I don’t have a problem with them and my period is generally pretty heavy. (Heavy meaning a little over three hours is the max I can normally go during my ” normal heavy flow”, but that is still within a normal range I was told.)

I had issues with playtex tampons, and only use the OB ones. They’re super easy to insert, even without the applicator, and I’ve never had one leak on me.

@asscherlover:   I don’t think so, it doesn’t bother me at all though.

Has it let up any since then? Are there any changes in the apperance of the fluid?

If you’ve been bleeding heavily for a while I would call the doctor just to make sure nothing abnormal is going on. It’s probably nothing, but sudden vast changes usually should be checked out. At least by a call!

@asscherlover:  I like Tampax Pearl. I get the box with 1/2 super and 1/2 regular. My 2nd day gets heavy and it does the job.

I only use pads, so I can’t comment.

@Jenniphyr:  You should try tampons at least once, they will change your life;0) My friend helped me in college try my first one and I have been hooked since.
