So my FI works in a very physical business and he was mentioning last night that his hands seem to be getting bigger….uh oh. Will his ring still fit was the question?!?! So we pulled it out of the safe and he tried it on. Still fits but snug so I said..”why don’t you wear it for awhile, see how it feels”. Bees, he looked at me like I had suddenly grown another head lol.
He said “I’m so sad I don’t get to wear my ring yet but it’s bad luck!!!!”. Ummmm. What?!?! Seriously?
So, is it bad luck? Are you superstitious at all? What are you superstitious about? Bonus points if you know the origin of the superstition 😊

There are actually a lot of superstition rings. Like you aren’t suppose to let a single girl put it in her finger. I don’t believe them but I understand that some people do.

I’ve never heard of this. I personally don’t believe a piece of jewellry can control your fate. My fiance’s been wearing his ring for a month now.
I just assumed most people don’t wear their rings because they weren’t married yet, not for any other reason.

Thats what I thought as well! No idea that this was a “thing” lol.

meanttobee2018 : Not at all superstious. I am an unmarried woman how frequently wears a ring on her left ring finger. It is all just nonsense but to some people it is a big deal. I have known some of my friends not want to keep their unborn babies pram in the house etc as it is considered bad luck.

I like superstitions when they are positive e.g I saw two Magpies the day of my wedding (one for sorrow, two for joy) and I completely believed that they were there to say my wedding would be joyful! But I step on cracks, I walk under ladders etc and will happily fly on Friday 13th if the price is cheaper.

I didn’t wear a ring on my left hand until I got engaged. Not for a superstitious reason just because I wasn’t engaged but I have heard of that one. Just not the wedding band thing lol.

I’m not overly but I would never buy used or vintage jewelery, I always assume it has bad energy.
I do use the superstition of trying on another womans wedding ring is bad luck when people try to get me to try on their rings, who even does that?
