I’m in the UK – is anyone else having issues with their suppliers? I’m just not hearing back from anyone except our photographer. My wedding is December. Over the summer I could appreciate that this was their busy time. So when I approached everyone back in May, put down deposits etc I said to them, listen don’t worry we can do all the planning in September.
In August I organise my appointments for September (that was difficult enough). I attended them and all of them promised to send quotes etc and I’ve had nothing back, no responses to my emails – all said ‘we’ll send xyz in a couple of days’ – none of them have delivered on their promise and it’s been 2 weeks. I’ve sent them all 2 chaser emails. First one polite and second one a bit more ‘when can I expect to hear from you?’
My wedding is 10 weeks away. I want to start getting stuff organised. Am I being overly demanding? Do most people leave it a few weeks before the wedding or something?
I work full time. My wedding is back in my home town a 4 hour drive away, I’m organising to regularly go back and I still as yet – don’t have any clue about actual cost for anything – other than the venue.
These aren’t ‘dodgy’ companies, they are well known, on preferred supplier lists.
I’m wondering if it’s me and I’m doing something wrong….. Anyone else had this type of experience? and what did you do to get them to prioritise your wedding and actually get back to you on time?
