A place, food and drinks are the basic building blocks of a good party 🙂
Now you just need someone who’s good at keeping a secret to be the distractor while you guys set up!
And maybe an activity or some music?

Well, I think you need my mum! She is assume at suprise parties!
In all seriousness though, an alibi is a good one. If you’re doing food who’s going to “pick him up” or is he coming over to his parents to “change a lightbulb”?
Examples: For my birthday surprise party SO and I were staying with my parents so I went out with SO because he needed some new shorts. But I had to be back in time for lunch with my grandparents. For my surprise leaving do, my BFF needed to pick something up from here house (the venue) before we went out. For my Dad’s birthday my mum needed to collect something from a local venue. For my aunts, she had been out walking in the morning with my uncle before coming back to her own home.
Secondly, get a guest list together. I think it’s harder to invite other peoples friends over your own if you know what I mean. And make sure everyone knows to keep quiet!
Good luck 🙂

thank you ladies. i hung out with his mom and sister yesterday and we came up with a guest list and the food and drinks we are gonna have and who is making and bringing them. his mom is just gonna say she is making him birthday dinner. the place is at his parents house. we are gonna have corn hole and a fire. only problem– i need to invite the guys from his work and i dont have addresses to their house, this could be hard. i think im gonna have to get a guys wife from his work to help..

Cameras, disposable everything plates, cups, utensils, etc. decorations, streamers, balloons. Confetti to throw at him once he arrives. I been around the surprise birthday party block before.
