I made it! Thank you so much for all of the messages of support. Tuesday morning the surgeon went in an reattached my rhomboid and my trap to my scapula, which is hopefully the first step in fixing pain I’ve had for five years. The doctor said everything was as he expected, the whole thing went well, but that the hard work is just beginning.
Now comes the tough part. I can get up and go for short (5-10 minute) walks twice a day, but otherwise I’m basically couch bound for the next 5 weeks. Added to that, I’m on some pretty heavy meds so anything that needs a lot of brain power is tough, and my left arm is completely immobilized.
Bees, do any of you have any suggestions for staying sane for the next month? Patience has never been one of my virtues!
