I just wanted to add that this bill was about a lot more than equal marriage rights. It was to make it legal for government institutions to deny people jobs, entrance to schools, and discrimination court cases based purely on their sexual orientation.

@peachacid:  You know, I really try not to judge others, but some people just make it way too easy. How in any way is that kind of belief morally correct? There is a candidate in my state who shares this belief. I got stuck listening to him justifying this filth, and it was awful.

@Follydust321:  Yeah, I have no idea.  It makes me so angry.  But I just judge away.  I think, “That idiot has no critical thinking skills.  That moron is so wrapped up in his hatred/misconstrued beliefs that he can’t see how he’s hurting others.”  Or she.

@SimpleGifts:

I’m not religious, but I student teach at a Catholic school and the teacher (who is Catholic) talked openly to her 2nd grade class about celebrating Passover with her sister and her sister’s Jewish wife. None of the students batted an eyelash or thought it was anything out of the ordinary. It totally melted my heart!

@peachacid:  I hope you are judging me right now for putting “to” instead of “too” haha.

That is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched. I think a lot of people have forgotten that numerous groups of people throughout history have been discriminated against and now we look back and wonder what our forefathers were thinking denying people their basic rights.

And full disclosure: I was raised Catholic and went to a Catholic elementary school and high school, as did a number of my friends and we’re all in support of marriage equality Smile
