- Wedding: April 2011
My Fiance and I forced a big change of plans for none other than we want to be married now, rather than later. Eloping would have been easier, but I still wanted the family wedding. I wanted my mama and daddy to be there and my grandmommy. So last week, we decided to have a “surprise” wedding. Monday is my birthday, and we used that as a ruse. Everyone coming to my house today thinks they are coming to a surprise birthday party for me. But it’s really our wedding. The only one who knows right now is the officiant.
We started working on our dream wedding Wednesday. We went shopping, and bought all sorts of things, from clothing, to decor. I had many things already ready for our previously planned wedding in April and that was a big help. But, there was so much still to do. I’ve made my wedding jewelry, accessorized my veil, made my Fiance an apron that says Groom on it, made a huge banner with our names on it, and all of our wedding cupcakes, and my FI’s groom cake. This is all in addition to deep cleaning our house, and doing numerous loads of laundry. You get the picture.
My feet are so sore, but I’m still so excited. It is my wedding day and I wouldn’t change a thing.
