Oh my God!! My Fiance Just told me that he booked us a 3 night, 4 day honeymoon in NYC right after the wedding!! We are getting married at the end of August, and I had kind of resolved to the fact that we wouldn’t be going on a honeymoon, because I am a teacher, and I have to get back to work! But I am so excited to go!! I have never been to NYC and I can’t wait to go!
Anyone else going to NYC at the end of August for their honeymoon?? Any suggestions about what we should do??

Yay! NYC in the summer is great, albeit a bit stifling.
There’s been several posts lately on things to do in NYC that have had good advice.

See a show, go to the top of the Empire State Building (romantic!), stroll or take a carriage ride through Central Park, museums are good, Rockefeller Plaza has nice shops, and you can visit 30 Rock. Take a stroll on Fifth Avenue, go to Tiffany and look at all the gorgeous bling!, FAO Schwarz, the Ferris Wheel in Toys R Us Times Square.

Lucky you! Glad to hear it has all worked out. Things to see & do in NYC are practically limitless. A PP already listed some great suggestions. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge for a different perspective on Manhattan is also fun. You can’t go wrong w/the restaurants, either. A few of my faves are Ed’s Lobster Bar, The Burger Joint (hidden in a corner of the lobby at Le Parker Meridien), Vol de Nuit (a Belgian beer bar), Pommes Frites for incredible Belgian fries w/lots of dipping sauces you probably never even imagined, Bill’s Gay 90s — former speakeasy, Mario Batali’s Eat-aly, etc. Enjoy!
