I am throwing my husband a surprise party for his 25th birthday party, and could use a little help from you creative gals! My husband is a huge Star Wars fan, so that’s the theme! I want it to be fun and a little goofy (like him), but not too cheesy. Everything I can find online is made for a 6 year old, or is Lego or Clone Wars (which, my Darling Husband has informed me is “not the same”). The party is going to be at our house, and I’m making all the food, and I’m hoping to not let the expenses go too crazy. Do you girls have any suggestions as to make the party a little more “grown up”? I’ve already ordered the cake as a starter, and was thinking of ordering glow sticks in bulk for everyone to wear instead of light sabers. I would love any suggestions! Please help me!
ETA: I was thinking of making lime margaritas and labeling them “Yodaritas” and I found a recipe for black punch that I was going to label “Yaderade” too. I am all for a little cheese, but I want him to feel 25, and not like I threw him a party for a kid.
The cake will look like this, but with a black base instead of blue:
