the place i ordered my dress from insisted i order a size 6, and now it’s just a little bit too big.  i have lost 5 lbs and i’m afraid if i lose any more, it will really not fit.  which is annoying because i always drop weight in the summer and the stress is really increasing this.  urgh.

lol, I was suprised at the size I had to order, but not because it was a size 2!  I guess my chest size equals a size 18 in bridal land…

the jeans I’m wearing right now are a size 1…

I tried on like 5 wedding dresses that were a size 8, and they were too small on me!

Haha I was definitely surprised at how teeny tiny they were. I anticipated them being small, but not THAT small!

@the_future_mrs:  that is SO weird!  I normally wear an 8, and the size 8 Vera Wang gowns fit me perfectly.  When it came to ordering my actual dress, which was Lazaro, I had to order a 14.

The store told me to order the size that correlated with my biggest measurement.  In this case it was my hips.  I was a bit sceptical because my ballgown is very generous in the hips.  I pick up my dress next week, and I am worried it is going to be super big on top.

@amandasf:  my dress is Vera Wang and I ordered true to size (size 2). I expect it to be a little big, however, since my measurements were a little smaller than the sizing chart (but size 2 is the smallest size at VW). Each designer has different sizing, so it really depends!

I ended up in an Enzoani size 0. I was a bit shocked, but it came in and fit absolutely perfectly… except for the length : ( Now if I could only get back the three months I spent panicking that my dress would be too small.

@the_future_mrs:  I totally agree. I wear size 5 or 6 in jeans/pants and my dress was a size 12!!!  I was like what???? Lol

sizes are so wacky.  I’m a 2, maybe a 4 depending on the brand.  So when the saleswoman wrote “8” down on the sheet… I was like “uhhh…”   but it only needed a smidge of taking in at the waist.  The 6 would definitely have been too small.

I was a little surprised. I’m typically a size 12 street size and ordered a 16 in wedding dress sizes. The only thing that blew me away was one brand where they handed me a 28 and said the brand ran small, but I couldn’t even pull it up over my hips. That brand clearly wants to make brides cry.

I am normally a size 0, but ordered a size 4–which I was expecting.  I wasn’t expecting the bridal shop to argue with me.  Even though I was swimming in the size 10 sample, they told me I needed an 8.  I got a 4 anyway.

But all bridal sizes are crazy.  In another designer, I fit the size 8 perfectly..

I was surprised too because I’d always heard they run super small, but my wedding dress was a size 6 which is also my street size
