I planned on it but he walked in on me while I was taking a test. Whoops!

LaPetiote:  Darling Husband wants to be there when I test, too! I’m a little bummed about not being able to get him a gift and surprise him, but I’ll do that with our family 🙂

Whenever the BFP happens (hopefully sooner than later) I am going to make a custom card for Darling Husband and I already picked up the book “Bro Code for Parents: What to Expect When You’re Awesome” from one of our favorite shows..

I had purchased a silver baby rattle and had it professionally wrapped. It just so happened that I got the BFP the day before we went away for his birthday, so I gave it to him with his birthday gifts. He was perplexed at first when he opened it and looked at it, looked at me, looked at it and then said, “REALLY?” Priceless. And I was probably naive at the time, but it never even occurred to me that I could miscarry.

I’ve always wanted to tell him with an “I love Daddy” onesie, or a picture frame with “Coming Soon, [EDD]”. Even if we were to miscarry, worst case scenario, we’ll continue trying for kids and if we didn’t feel comfortable reusing it we’d at least have the memory.
