geekychinchilla:  I do small things to surprise him like sneaking out to get us breakfast while he is in the shower (be careful – one time i scared the living daylights out of him coming home as he wasn’t aware i was even gone! LOL) you could also make breakfast.

Is there any new restaurants he has wanted to try? New movies? Maybe an exhibit at a museum? Pinic at a park? Hike? new video game he has been wanting?

Worst comes to worst you could rent movies, pick up all his favorite snacks and have a lazy movie day.

You should find a place to play laser tag! My SO and I went the other day and it ended up being so much more fun than I thought. It can be fun to compete against eachother!

My Fiance and I are total homebodies- when we’re stressed, all we want is a date with Netflix, some wine, and some dinner.  If he’s having a rough week, he might just want a nice relaxing evening at home with his girl πŸ™‚

What are some things he really enjoys? Is he a beer guy? Take him to a local brewery for a tour (sometimes free!) and tastings. Outdoorsy guy? Gear up and play paint ball. Sports? See if there’s any local sports team game.

For my Fiance, I’ll buy a luxe massage bar (love them from LUSH) and give him a full body massage, take him out to lunch or dinner and a movie, or take a class together, like cooking or fitness.

I once got wine and made short ribs, mashed potatoes and pie, then cleaned up the whole apartment, and had It all presented with me in a sexy dress and heels when he got home! He liked it

Last time I suprised him was his favourite dinner, his pick of what to watch on TV, brought him his favourite beer (opened of course) then a couple of candles in the bedroom, my best lingerie and some makeup and a long massage with a bj to finish him off (sorry if TMI) while he didn’t have to lift a finger!  He adored it and bragged to his work mates (didn’t love that :/) but one of them did propose to me when I saw them next, and all agreed if he doesn’t marry me, they will.  best part was it cost barely any time or effort since I had to cook dinner anyway and I enjoy touching him.  Men really are simple creatures πŸ˜›

geekychinchilla:  I make ribs or steak! It’s like flowers for Darling Husband. You can’t go wrong with meat! πŸ™‚

A craft beer would be cool for lots of guys too. My husband doesn’t drink, but I know where to buy some fancy and hard to find soda. So once in a while I’ll trek down to the neighbourhood where it’s sold (only place in the city) and pick some up. We’re both homebodies, but him more so. So, I make up something nice at home.

geekychinchilla:  I like to surprise Fiance by getting naked in the middle of the day. πŸ˜‰ Seriously though, I LOVE date-days! If the weather cooperates, what about a picnic, with beer and sandwiches?Or bowling is always fun. I think that anything competative and lets a guy have fun and blow off steam works the best.

You could also have your own little mini pubcrawl. Fiance do this once in a while. Make a list of all the places you want to go but haven’t and go try them out. One drink per place, with a snack here or there, and that’s an entire afternoon.
