I haven’t had sushi in awhile, it is sounding so good right now! My favorite roll is the Seattle Roll (especially from Nijo Sushi in Seattle!) which has salmon, avocado, and cucumber. So basic and simple, but fantastic.
I also love a sushi place here called Umi Sake House, because like, 75% of their rolls are fried… Kind of terrible but incredibly awesome!
I love sushi! I wil try anything once and usually love whatever kind I get. The only one that I couldn’t eat was one that had raw quail egg on top. My favorites kinds are usaully shrimp, flying fish roe, conch or anything that most people wouldn’t eat even cooked. Now I’m craving sushi, thanks.
@Missknicole: my husband and I like Fuji Sushi in the ID. It’s really authentic and the restaurant is pretty too.
Shiro’s Sushi in Belltown is really fancy, and realllly good, but expensive.
For a more affordable place, I used to go to Ha Na in capitol hill. my husband doesn’t like it, but I think it’s pretty good for affordable sushi, and my friends really like it too.
Tempura vegetable nigiri yummmmmmmmmmm and i’m not even a vegetarian. I don’t like sushimi or raw fish – i mostly just get the cooked tuna or chicken sushi, and i only like the rolls with the rice on the outside, i don’t like the seaweed on the outside
I love sushi! It’s so going to be lunch today. – yum!
I love all sushi and rolls! My favorite would probably be a yellowtail roll and the spicy tuna, oh and a crunchy eel roll! YUM! I got my fiancé into sushi and now we go at least once a month!
Darling Husband and I love sushi and go for it quite often together or with friends. Our favourite rolls are spicy salmon, spicy tuna, crispy shrimp, and these weird but delicious sweet potato and mango ones our local place has.
I really like sushi, just nothing with raw fish! I’m really sensitive to textures and any raw meat is just gross to me. But crab, unagi, or anything vegetarian is delicious
Im a huge sushi fan. Darling Husband and I popped our sushi bubble at a Starr restaurant and it was a good place to start. We eat just about all kinds. Theres a place in our old neighborhood that has a 50% off menu so we end up splittling 3-5 speciality rolls and only pay about $30-$40.
@jesssamesssa: Ooh, fellow NCer! Tasu always runs BOGO (though be careful, they take off the cheaper roll, so either buy all expensive or all cheap or you’ll shoot yourself in the foot).
If you’re looking for good deals, also check out Orchid. It’s a sit down all you can eat with a focus on sushi. So how it works is they give you paper and you place your order and they make it fresh for you. They also have plenty of appetizers included. They are AWESOME.
I’ll have to admit it’s been a few years since I’ve had any. Being this far from the ocean makes me skeptical of places around here that sell it. Though I might just have to look around for a good place, thanks to you bees and all the comments/pictures..
@jesssamesssa: I’ve always wanted to check out Sushi Blues. Is Sushi Thai any good? We go to Chubbys ALL THE TIME and my Fiance loves yelling out the name of the place like it is the funniest thing in the world*
Ginzu on Cary Parkway also does BOGO. I’m almost in walking distance there from my job. It takes a LOT of self control to not go broke.
*Spoiler alert: It isn’t.
