For the past few months I was convinced that I was going to use bamboo for my upcoming wedding and was all set to purchase them when I came across something new at a site called Susty Party.
Has anyone tried them out or heard anything about them?
I’d love to know before I commit to something else.

@weewah: Ooh! Those are pretty. I would order one pack of 8 and try out their service and the product.

Oh those are pretty! I have never heard of them – we are using recyclable bamboo plates (AND forks/knives, haha), but they don’t look anywhere near that nice.

I can get sample plates for .99 but shipping is $10! I will most likely order something to see what they’re like as I’d like to keep my wedding super colorful. Their straws are cute too.
I’ll keep you posted if I get some.

Found this little blurb at Martha Stewart. The comments are promising.

I love the idea of this cutlery and I am excited to try it myself. I know this is kind of an older post. But for anyone who is just rolling past this like me, they have some Susty products on Amazon! You can’t get them in bulk there, and they are cheaper on the actual Sustyparty website. But this allowed me to order a few trial plates and since I have Amazon Prime I didn’t have to pay for shipping. BONUS!

We went ahead with the susty plates and bamboo cutlery. Everything was a hit. I ordered large plates in light blue and light green and small plates in yellow and pink. Some colors weren’t available via susty so I found some on Amazon under Blueware. They are super thick and durable but will crack with enough pressure.
The susty party buying experience was great. You’ll always get a coupon for next time in your package. I also ordered the FSC cutlery and heart palmware plates for dessert. If I have another big party I wouldn’t hesitate to order it all again.
