- Wedding: November 2012
Ok so MrN & I are getting married November 10th and we’ve been going back & forth on rings for us, he’s not a jewelry person at all, he’s in a blue collar job and always working with his hands so he wanted something sturdy and decided he liked tungston with a celtic design (similar to below)
I on the other hand have NO idea what I want!! I saw a ring I liked @ Ben Moss (can’t find a picture of it online so I don’t have a picture) but I’ve been rethinking what I want, I’m not a huge jewelry person, my engagement ring was my grandmothers, MrN had the setting fixed (kept the original setting, but had to be re-done with new gold because the original setting had some cracks, it was from 1947 & she wore it until she passed away 13yrs ago). The picture is from before it was reset, now it sparkles SO much because all the dirt & build up from the years is gone:
So I’ve been considering some alternate options, we don’t have tons of $ to spend, my max budget is $400 for my ring and same for MrN although he’s said he won’t spend more than $200 & wants to use the other $200 towards a surprise for me soooo I’ve been considering Swarovski rings, I know I can get a small gold band for under $400 but that’s not what I want (MrN has suggested that we save up for a year and get a nice anniversary band next November, we’ll be cancelling our “big” wedding after we have our small wedding on November 10th (only a few friends with us) & we’ll have a big party/celebration in the summer but not a wedding/reception so the cost is drastically cut (we could afford that wedding BUT we couldn’t justify spending $10,000 – $15,000 on a wedding when we’re trying to save to buy a house and will be getting a new vehicle in the new year).
So I need your opinions on some of the rings I like, they are all Swarovski:
Sorry for the giant pictures
