You may think Im crazy but I want this pen soo bad! Its 35$ which is stupid for a ball point pen but its soo pretty! I work as a dietitan and write notes all day at work, so I would deff use it. Plus I just got a new job, thinking of buying it as a congrats gift to myself. Am I nuts?

@bella731: Any pen that I have ever bought because it was pretty/cool/had some doo-dad on it, I immediately lost or had stolen. Stick to the cheap ones and buy a piece of jewelry or something else glittery that you know won’t disappear on you. Better yet, you can get 36 GREAT pens for the money.

@bella731: I HAVE that pen, it was given to me as a gift by a customer. Do I feel fabulous when using it? Yes! Would I buy it for myself? Nope.
Wedding related reference I did bring this pen and it use it for wedding license photos to make it a bit jazzier than a typical ball point pen. 🙂

@bella731: If you absolutely love it, and you’re not the type to lose pens (like me!) why not treat yourself?

lol no way. i lose pens instantly at work anyway

$35 is one moderately priced dinner out, and a tip. It’s not too much for a gift from you to yourself to make yourself happy.
Now, THIS is an EXPENSIVE pen:
If you will enjoy having a Swarovski crystal pen, go ahead and purchase it for yourself and have fun with it. Just make sure to invest in compatible refills so that you can use it for years to come, and find a zippered, plastic pouch in which to carry it (and other pens) in your purse without having to worry about potential ink explosions and stains or having it accidentally falling out of your bag and becoming lost.

I voted yes buy it, but the comments made me feel a little frivolous. If you have some DIY skills, you could buy rhinestones from your local craft store and bling out your own pen? and you’ll have oodles of rhinestones left over to decorate other things.

@kenziemt: that is true! but i dont really loose my pens
@Treejewel19: do you use it often? would you buy the refills for it when it runs out?
@Polygon: i dont think i loose my pens that often. I think I may just get it!
@Brielle: that is true! i love how sparkly it is, when I asked for it for christmas, my husband wouldnt buy it bc its just a ball point pen and instead wanted to spend 300$+ on some ugly looking ones that wrote awesome.

Have it too! Received it as a graduation gift when I finished my Master’s. I also plan on using the pen (that I have never used ONCE) for our religious ceremony where we sign the papers in front of our officiant, family and guests.
Never would’ve bought it for myself either, though I think it’s lovely.

@bella731: I say go for it. I actually have a pair of that, one black and one white. I have been using them for 2 years now. I dont think it is too much for something sparkle like that.

I bought some amazing pens when I was traveling in Japan and LOVE them. (No crystals on them though.) So if it makes you happy, why not? It’s the cost of a nice dinner but as long as you don’t lose it you’ll be able to enjoy it for a long time.

@bella731: Sure! As long as the ink is replaceable, get it. It’s only $35. That’s not an inordinate amount of money and it sounds like you’d really enjoy it and use it often.

I never buy pens but I say if you really want it then $35 isn’t that big of a deal. Buy it!

@bella731: I recieved a Tiffany pen when I graduated from undergrad. I don’t know how much it costs but probably much more that the simple Le Pen pens I prefer to use daily. The few times I used the Tiffany pen, I was worried about losing it.
If you love it, then it’s worth it, but I wouldn’t expect it to be a practical purchase!
