@bella731:  I’ve adored that pen since a friend of mine pulled one out a few years ago in law school. It’s REALLY beautiful and sparkly! If you like it, I say go for it.

With that said, I never bought one as I lose pens all the time. Then one day, I found a similar unbranded version at Marshall’s for half the price. And THEN I found a million of them on ebay for just a few bucks each. At just a couple dollars, I finally bought one to include in my sister’s “Will you by my Matron of Honor” package and she loves it.

If you want the real deal, definitely get it from Swarovski.

If you’re hesitant on the price and/or lose pens frequently, go ahead and buy an unbranded one (“made with Swarovski elements”) from Ebay, Marshall’s, etc.

@bella731:  I think it’s worth it! I have 6 of them (one is Hello Kitty) and they were all gifts, but I love using them! And if you run out of ink there are super cheap ink packs available for them.

Is that just a pen or is it also a stylus? I have what looks like the exact same pen, but it was only $15 (compared to $35!). I’ve got the white one.

I mostly use it as a stylus, but the pen isn’t bad. It’s not FANTASTIC, but it’s at least average. As a stylus, it’s absolutely wonderful. I used to think that styluses were kind of gimmicky and unnecessary, but it is a lot more precise than my finger. It feels more natural, too.

@bella731:  no.  I bought it in another color.  I was so careful but I lost it in just 3 weeks.  It didn’t write very well

I think having a nice pen is a small splurge in life that can be worth the money, make one happy every time you use it

(Altho I agree, if you lose said pen, it will also bring you unhappiness… cause you’ll think about it too often… way more than if you misplace a regular old pen)

I’ve had a favourite Parker Pen for years… that I didn’t spend a fortune on (around $ 10) but it definitely lifts my spirits more than a run-of-the mill Bic Pen ever would.

$ 35 isn’t what I consider an expensive splurge… when it comes to Pens ones can easily go much much higher (Cross, Mont Blanc etc).  So if you like it… buy it.

PS… I find that Swarovski items can differ in price (and Quality) greatly.  Very much a difference between buying an item from the Swarovski Co. or buying someone that someone hand-made themselves using crystals that they bought from the Company to decorate an item with.  So KNOW what you are purchasing

Oh no!!! More decisions? And these are important details too! All of the color options sound really cool. If you’re an I love pink type a girl then definitely get the pink.  All white would probably be my second choice.

@bella731:  I have this pen and it’s so pretty! My mom gave it to me as a cute little present on my wedding day. I have yet to use it though!

@bella731:  Sparkle wise, I’d say they’re exactly the same (same exact crystals). Quality wise I think the mid-range pen (say a $15 pen bought in the USA) is exactly the same minus the logo, whereas the really cheap ones from overseas are mediocre at best (metallic plastic rather than metal clip). I’m so excited that you bought the real deal. Is there such a thing as pen envy? ;-P
