I have always LOVED sweater dresses, and was look at the VS online site, which devotes an entire section to them with 2 pages of sweater-y awesomeness.
Fiance made a “eww” scrunchy face when I told him what I was looking at, but upon me showing him my favorites, admitted that they were cute and sexy.
What do you ladies think? I have not worn one in a while, and right now I feel too out of shape to don something slinky and skin-tight, but there are now some really cute fit-and-flare styles out!

I’ve never worn one, but if I found one I liked, why not?

I like them, but not me in one, lol.

I think they are so cute, but I can’t wear them. I feel like if you have a stomach at all that it just amplifies it! I have yet to find one flattering.
But if I was a skinny minnie, you bet I’d be wearing them all the time! So cute.

I love the idea of them…but they don’t look right on me AT ALL. My body does this weird thing I hate where no matter what weight I’m at, my silhouette never changes and it just doesn’t look right in any kind of dresses that go straight down around the hips as most sweater dresses do. It’s like right below my hips my body gets smaller, and then immediately flares out again for my thighs. I don’t really know how to explain it, I actually WISH that part of my body was bigger because I could pull off these dresses and high waisted skirts and such if after my waist my body flared out normally at my hips and thighs, instead of flaring out, then going in, then back out. It drives me nuts!

I love the look of them, but I don’t wear them since they look frumpy on me. I think they only look good on small skinny gals.

Only if you have the body and the right undergarments.

No thanks they look like women forgot to put on pants to me.

@Cady: So can I come over and borrow your clothes? 😉

I adore them!!! I stay away from the really slinky/tight ones bc obviously they’re not forgiving, but especially love ones with kangaroo pockets and hoods…I always pair them with riding boots and leggings. I’ve also started layering much more, where I’ll wear a long tunic (mid thigh length) from the GAP, with a tank under it, with a loooong open cardigan and booties or something..nice way to be comfy and cozy, and when done correctly, for work too!

@rachelmichelle: OBSESSED with that outfit!!

@ChuckNorris: Me too! I’ve got the boots and the scarf… just need a better sweater dress and those leggings, and maybe the fingerless gloves if I’m feeling ambitious. XD
SHOPPING TIME I think.
