New bee here and I could really use some advice 🙂 My wedding is in just under a year, and I’d like to get serious about getting in shape now. I’m blessed to have a petite figure already, and don’t necessarily want to lose very much weight (at most 5-10 pounds). Really, I’d like to focus on just toning everything up and making myself look and feel as great as possible.
I plan on cutting out most junk food and sticking to just drinking water. I’ve also been going to the gym four days a week, but I’m no expert at exercise and its all new to me! Did any of you/are you working out and getting in shape for your wedding? How were your results, and do you have any tips/advice on routines to follow, etc?
I want to be happy and healthy 🙂

I know lots of ladies on here have had success in toning with the 30 Day Shred or other Jillian Michaels videos. Have you ever tried one of those?

I did really well with insanity last year, its hard on the knees but boy does it work. It’s a 60 day program too, and I lost about 20 pounds I wasn’t over weight to start, got down to 16% body fat which was great for me… then I went to Tennessee and ate lots of fudge, but we won’t go there!

Jillian Michael’s videos are excellent. The Insanity videos are excellent as well. If you’re wanting to go to the gym to work out and use weights there are a ton of awesome Youtube videos on good exercises.
As far as diet goes, cutting out junk foods and drinking water is a great start! Make sure to really up your veggie intake too!

Try Crossfit. I swear, you’ll love it. I’ve never been a sporty person, so going to the gym was never my thing. Even though I’m not overweight, I wanted to lose some weight and tone up for the wedding. I have never seen my body look like this. It’s amazing. It’s a hard workout, yes, but it’s fun and you see results in no time.
