(Closed) Sweating for the Wedding or should I say Engagement Pics…

So funny I was just saying this! I went to the grocery store today and stocked up on healthy food and am hoping that will help motivate me. I have an account with my fitness pal but have never used it. I should reactivate it and see if it helps me stay on track. My problem is that I’m always motivated for the first few weeks then I get bored and stop going. Engagement photos are only 8 months away I better get my butt in shape!

I’ve lost 30 pounds so far and want to lose another 20. I don’t use My Fitness Pal, but I’d be happy to share my progress and support other bees here!! ๐Ÿ™‚

@BreezyBride24:  I have an exercise bike I ride for an hour, several days a week. The main thing, though, is diet: I try to limit myself to one portion at meals; I focus heavily on protein and veggies; and I limit my intake of starches and carbs.

My favorite snacks are apple slices with peanut butter, cheddar rice cakes, and veggies and dip.

@BreezyBride24:  I originally went to the gym, but FH did the math, and a stationary bike ended up being a much cheaper investment than a gym membership!! It definitely helps with lazy days, as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@BreezyBride24: I don’t have a goal in terms of pounds to lose I just want to lose this jiggle so I can rock a bikini on my honeymoon. Cool

I went to the gym this morning and they now have Zumba classes. I’m hoping that will motivate me to get out the door and go. 

@shaynapunim: What do you do while your on the bike? I always get bored so I hop from machine to machine and never feel like I get a good workout.

I’m an avid reader, so I almost always read a book while I’m on the bike; it helps pass the time quickly. Rarely, I’ll watch TV, but I feel I don’t get as good of a workout that way.

So I worked out pretty much daily in the 2-3 months leading up to my brother’s wedding in August 2011, then kind of cooled down (a lot of life changes, really had trouble this entire past year getting to the gym AT ALL)… I haven’t really gained weight, but in photos from that wedding I’m obviously much more toned, etc. So I think it’s smart to start a “habit” ASAP, it’s those few months right before the BIG DAY that we’re going to need constant motivation! Good luck!! I love talking about fitness and drawing inspiration from others ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s so hard to get motivated sometimes, but this is a great motivation!
