So my mom has a friend who is dying of cancer, at this point she only has a few days to live. It’s sad, but it’s a miracle she has lived this long because 4 years ago they gave her a few months to live.
When the doctor gave her a few weeks to live about a month ago, her and her husband decided to have a vow renewal. They had it at the church, and invited all their friends and family. I think it was a very hard and emotional thing for the family, but it was a beautiful chance to celebrate her life and their marriage, and essentially, to say good-bye one last time.
It would take so much courage to do something like that. Usually people’s last days are spent in quiet and pain, huddled around the bedside. More power to them for choosing to get up and have a party.
Just a reminder to cherish what you have!
