We did a sweetheart table with two closely adjacent tables reserved for bridesmaids and their dates and groomsmen and their dates. It gave us a little bit of both — being near our bridal party but also allowing them to sit with their dates. We loved it!

I’m doing a sweetheart table just because I want to let the wedding party sit with their spouses and significant others. I don’t think they make tables big enough for all of us anyway! 🙂

we are totally doing a sweet heart table.. my venue has the cutest lil stage just for our table…

and honestly ladies, ive been to hundreds of weddings ( semi wedding planner) it SUCKS that your attendants spouses do not get to eat /spend time with them and they either run to the table or the attendant to them all night…. i prefer to eat ALONE with my Fiance and let them enjoy dinner with their SO as well!

The sweatheart table was so nice we got to enjoy everyone without feeling like we were on stage and have a few personal moments but it also made it easier to walk around and enjoy our guests and at the end I think 10 people pulled up chairs at our table and we just chated too.

sweetheart. I hated going to a wedding where I couldn’t sit with my Fiance bc he was in the bridal party so I don’t want to make any of our bridal party feel the same way

I’ve only been to weddings where the whole bridal party was at the head table, but honestly, I like the sweetheart table idea better.

We had a sweetheart table, but honestly, we never even sat down.

@Gemstone:  we will also be having tables 1 & 2 closer to our table a lil seperated from the rest of the guests and only family and attendants will be at those 2 tables.

we did neither of those options.  we had a head table but not with the entire bridal party. We had the Maid of Honor, and Best man on the head table plus our parents. The rest of the bridal party sat at a regular table near us

Never heard of a sweetheart table before now. I don’t like the idea of the bridal party sitting somewhere else. I think the bridal party and their SO’s knew the drill when they agreed to be in the wedding. I made sure to sit their SO’s with friends, so they were fine.

We’re having a head table. Our bridal party’s spouses will sit at the head table with them. We didn’t want to make them sit separately.

I’m leaning towards a sweetheart for us — most of our bridal party have significant others or wives/husbands and I don’t want to split them up!  And I will want alone time with my new husband 🙂
