I want a sweetheart table. Fiance just convinced me not to have one though. We’re only going to be at our own reception for 2 hours then we’re heading off. Most of that time we are going to be greeting people, taking pictures, etc. I do love the idea though, mostly because the bride & groom need a place to sit for a bit!

We had one because we wanted our bridal party to be able to sit with their partners and friends. We also wanted our guests to feel as though they could approach our table and talk to us privately if they wanted to.

I loved it and am really glad we went with that decision. It feels really special sitting there with your new husband at a table set for two!

We aren’t having a bridal party at all due to having a very small guest list, so a sweetheart table is perfect for us! Intimate wedding, intimate reception with my new hubby!

We’re thinking about having one.  Haven’t decided yet.  I like the idea of having one. We have a bigger bridal party (5 BMs & 5 GMs) so we won’t be able to fit all 12 of us at a table anyway.

We aren’t having a sweetheart table, but something kinda similar. I was absolutely against having our Bridal Party sit with us and making their SO’s sit somewhere else, but Fiance doesn’t really like to be the complete center of attention so we had to come up with something different. We have a somewhat large Bridal Party with 1 Maid/Matron of Honor, 4 BM’s, 1 Best man, and 4 GM’s. Sooo what we came up with is a semi sweetheart that will include myself, Fiance, FI’s Best man and wife, and my Maid/Matron of Honor and her husband. We will have reserved tables for the rest of the Bridal Party and their SO’s.

We are kinda having a sweetheart table but we will have our daughters at the table too so it will be a family table I guess.

we are having a cocktsil reception at a small restaurant/bar we frequent every week and will be taking our usual places at the bar!   They will be the only reserved seats too!  It is a beatiful restored inn from 1851, the bar original, beautiful woodowrk, tin ceilings. It was the only place we would consider for our party!

We had a sweetheart table and I loved it!  It gave us the opportunity to have a little privacy to enjoy the day, and we also didn’t want to make our bridal party’s SO’s sit by themselves with folks that they don’t know.  It worked out really well for us!

I’m not.  I personally think they look a bit self-centered, like “Hey, we invited all of you to come celebrate with us, but we just want to sit apart from everyone.”  I know that’s not how they’re intended, but every time I go to a wedding and see one, that’s the thought that goes across my mind first.

I think we are going to have one at our reception.  We are doing our’s at the Fellowship Hall at our church and it is kind of small in there anyway and we are expecting around 100 ppl so with the tables all set up to save space there is a small stage area (just an area with about 2-3 steps up from the level floor big enough for a table) that we will probably use so that we can be out of the way and everyone else will have room to sit.  Our 6 ft tables sit 8 people at each table so that puts us at 13 tables so we’re mainly doing it to save room and I don’t mind the idea of sitting with just my new husband I kind of like the idea of getting to talk to him about everything going on and how much we are enjoying everything (after all it is our day)

We’re only having a MoH and Bridesmaid or Best Man so we’re just sitting at a table with them and our parents.
