We’re having a sweetheart table. Our wedding party only has 2 people. My Maid/Matron of Honor is bringing her newish boyfriend who doesn’t know anyone and the best man has a wife and kids. So we didn’t want to seperate them.

I don’t think it’ll be too difficult for speeches. There will be a microphone and podium next to the sweetheart table. We made sure that the MCs and family/friends giving speeches are sitting close to the front. But I was the MC at a wedding last summer and I sat way at the back – it wasn’t a big deal at all!

What are your main concerns?

We did a sweetheart table, and during the toasts the speaker just came up and stood next to us.  I definitely recommend doing a sweetheart table!

Out microphone was cordless and the people who did speeches just came over and stood by us while they spoke.
