Bees, I am getting married in October and we are going on a honeymoon about a week after in the Caribbean. I have a couple of swimsuits, but I want to get a new one. When I go out looking now, I see a lot of cute two pieces and I have to say the little skirts caught my eye. I see a lot of skirts and even shorts in swimsuits. Do you think the skirt idea is for older women? I am only 32 and don’t want to make myself look older. what do you think about skirts for swimsuits? Remember, these are two piece suits…

I’m 28 and I recently just got my first skirt swimsuit. I love it, I’m so mad I didn’t think of it sooner! It covers all those parts you don’t want people to see.

haha, i was thinking the same thing! I also thought that I would feel okay walking on the cruise ship in the skirt. I usually get tankinis because I am self conscious about my mid section. I just really thought the skirts were cute, but in the past, it was mostly for older women or at least that is how it seemed. thanks!

I think as long as the pattern or color is young you would be okay. I don’t know if you will know what I’m talking about but not that awful floral pattern that you see a lot of older people wear.
I saw some cute skirted ones at Macy’s this weekend.

I wore a skirt bottom with a tankini top last year on my honeymoon – and I was only 23. Although I’m a size 6, I’m just not comfortable in swimsuits, so this was a nice compromise.

I don’t personally like the skirt bottoms that are attached but I often wear skirt or shorts over the bottoms walking on and off the beach so I don’t think it’s a big difference from that.
