I have only ever worn full coverage bottoms, but I see the trend of cheeky and thong bikinis becoming popular and my SO has mentioned them and want to do something like this but a little hesitant. Where stores are you/have you bought from? Thanks In Advance

I do a mix of full coverage and cheeky bottoms and buy most of my swimsuits from Planet Blue.

I do a mix of all three depending on where I am (i.e., full coverage in front of family, thong for carribean holidays with DH). Lately I have been buying them from Ardene which actually have a ton of cute swimsuits.

I do full coverage around family and cheeky when I’m on vacation with D.H. I used to get all of my suits from victoria’s secret, so I’m still looking for my “go-to” bikini place. I’ve gotten some good ones from Zaful and Blackbough Swim.

I wear between full coverage and cheeky. I’m not built to wear thong bikinis and I don’t need to blind and torture people. I’m sure that’s against the Geneva convention.

Cheeky can be cute if you have the butt for it. Thong almost always takes it too far, imho. I don’t spend all my time at the beach staring at other women’s bikini bottoms, but when a thong appears when you’re not expecting it…
This is only one opinion. People can and should wear whatever they want and are comfortable in to the beach. They’re just butts. If you’re going for “cute”, though, cheeky may be best.

just my two cents that I’ve never flashed more skin publicly for my husband than I felt comfortable wearing by my own standards. I put on the sexy stuff for him in private. If I’m not going to wear a thong in front of my own kids, then I’m not going to wear it in front of someone else’s kids.

It depends on the scenario, if I am just tanning and lounging by the pool or at the beach I like cheeky, but if I am actually swimming, or diving or jumping into the water I like the little sporty shorts bottoms cause they don’t ride up too far when being active.

Cheeky is as far as I go in public…and that’s after doing squats and donkey kicks a month in advance as preparation so that I feel confident enough to pull them off! 😂 leaving a little to the imagination is always a good thing imo.

Just another note that I really find, from a fashion and aesthetic perspective, that a swimsuit/bikini bottom that rides low on the hips and offers conventional cheek coverage is more flattering and more forgiving of real figures, even thin ones. An old standard string bikini, not thong, is a good balance of sexy, flattering without crossing lines into in unfamily friendly. Flattering is the best kind of sexy.

I switch between full coverage and cheeky and I like the luli fama bikinis (but not thong style). Personally I think it’s just too much for North America (even when I lived in Florida I didn’t see that many thong bottoms on the beach). It’s most important that you are comfortable though

I like cheeky ones, because I often see full coverage bottoms start to look like a diaper when they’re wet. I feel like as long as you are just doing normal things like walking around, laying down, or swimming (basically not doing yoga or something lol) then cheekies offer enough coverage while still looking a bit more modern.
I think that cheekies are especially flattering if the person is wearing a more full coverage suit in general, like a tankini or high waisted bottoms or a one piece.

I have a mix of medium coverage and extra cheeky.

Even when I was young and hot I couldn’t imagine myself hitting the beach in butt floss.
