I’m also on Microgestin, and take it for months at a time. My periods are a mess. I don’t remember the last time I had to actually wear a tampon — sometimes I don’t bleed at all, sometimes I just spot a little during placebo week. I’m not worried about it, though — periods when you’re on BCP can be wacky anyway. It just means I’m going to give my body a LONG time to get back to normal before actively TTC!

FWIW, I absolutely love Microgestin. It also completely got rid of my sweet tooth. Fresh-baked brownies don’t do anything for me. Great for the waistline, haha!

I take loestrin, which I think is similar to microgestin. I take it 3 months at a time and don’t get a period anymore, but according to many doctors it’s totally normal. If that’s your only concern, I really don’t think it’s an issue but certainly talk to your doctor about it. And you really should try to take it at the same time, set an alarm on your phone and keep it in your purse 🙂
