(Closed) switching czs for diamonds in wedding band?

You should take it to a jewellers for an opinion. I wish I could be of more help though. I had a ring I wanted to add some stones to along the side, but according to the jeweller there wasn’t enough metal. (different than your issue, but the fit- channel set – prong? has to be good too)

bgswifey:  It will cost $5,000!!! Actually, i don’t know because I’m not a jeweler. I’m sure it will cost a few hundred dollars but a jeweler will be able to tell you best.

If the wedding band is sterling silver I would recommend against it as the silver won’t be strong enough over time to hold in the diamonds and they’ll probably fall out. My opinion would be to cast the stones in a brand new ring instead of using an existing one. But as PPs say, definitely consult a jeweler.

Can we see pictures? 🙂 Also, I agree with PP take it to a jeweler and see what they say and it would be wise to get a few different quotes
