Can you post pictures of your current rings?  I think it would help me answer you question more thoughtfully.  Thanks! 🙂

I think they would look fine.  After being married for years, that will be the smallest of details only you will notice.  Personally, I wouldn’t spend the money on another ring.  Maybe something you can ask for anniversary or something.

I don’t really notice that much of difference – just saying. If you hadn’t described it I wouldn’t have realized they were two different things until I looked closely.

That being said I think that the second one does match the setting on your ring better but only slightly – I don’t think it makes so much of a difference that it’s really worth it.

@alishadhs4: Yeah but my setting was drastically changed and it was so that I could fit a wedding band with it. I was just giving you my opinion that it’s not that noticeable especially since you’re worried about stones down the side.

I don’t think they could add them down the side in the future because usually the setting is cast with divets for the stones (so I think it would probably be more expensive to have them edit your band rather than getting the other one).

Obviously if you have the money for it and it’s going to bother you then do it.

I have the opposite problem, but it might be helpful. The diamonds on my engagement ring stop halfway down the band, but the wedding band diamonds go all the way around (They were made for me by a jeweler, so they weren’t part of a set or anything).

Anyway, here are some pics. Maybe this will help you. I personally think that NO ONE will ever look at your ring as closely as you do. no one notices that my engagement ring has half as many diamonds as my wedding band.  Really, it is not a focal point that anyone will notice, imo.
