(Closed) Switching to different venue but it's a lot smaller

Either go with the ballroom, significantly reduce your guest list and go with the park/lodge, or find a third option.  Going with the park/lodge and hoping for more than a 50% decline rate seems very risky.

It seems a bit risky to hope for so many declines.. I would just cut your guest list and let those family members know (who you don’t think will show up anyway) that you’re having a very small intimate wedding with direct family and closest friends only. It’s obviously where you want to do it, so just be prepared to have the sorry we can’t invite you conversation!

So you sent invites to 135 but know a lot of people aren’t coming.  What are you estimating as your actual guest count?  Use that to choose a location that fits the appropriate amount of people.  Neither location you’ve mentioned seems to be appropriate based on the information you’ve listed here.
