Any bees out there good with photoshop?
Im considering changing up my centre stone but would like to see a pictrue before I commit.
My current setting has a pretty wide band and I feel it makes my diamond look smaller the it is. I’ve also always preferred the look of larger stones regardless of the type of stone.
Here is my ring. It’s a .73 carat round on and 8.5 size finger.
I’m thinking of switching to a 1.8 carat cushion enhanced moissy(7mm by 7mm)
Side note: I actually picked out my e-ring and stone and Fiance is totally fine with me changing the stone. I woulddve been very happy with moissy to start but Fiance wasn’t convinced lol. Silly boy! I do plan to keep my original diamond and have it set into a pendant or something so no sentimental loss 🙂
What do you think? Will it look good?
2nd pic with my whole hand.

@SupermansSweetheart: I am not good with photoshop but I think that would look awesome!

I love your ring the way it is!! It’s so beautiful and the band is so unique it seems a shame to change it but do what will make you happy.

cant help you with photoshop, but i just wanted to say i really love band! are you planning to wear a wedding band? You really don’t need one with that, but I’d totally get it if you wanted one just bc 🙂

@CorgiTales: I actually just ordered my band yesterday! I might not wear then together all the time as the band is fairly wide as well but it was important to me that I have one.
Thanks ladies, I love my ring, the band is different then anything else I’ve seen 🙂
I would just prefer the look of a larger center stone, especially with my wedding band being on the wider side. I think my diamond would get lost.

I think it will look great — the one thing I’d caution you is to find out how much it will cost to change the mounting. From your picture, it looks like your current center just fits in the gap between the wide bands. They may need to do some alterations of the setting to make the center work, so make sure they can do it and its not going to be too expensive!

I would recommend ordering a loose moissanite before you decide on anything. I was planning on moissanite, but after ordering my loose stone I really disliked it so I sent it back. Just FYI.

@google: They would definitely have to change the mounting, I currently have a mid to low set 6 prong mount for my round. Jeweler I talked to when my ring was being fixed said it was an easy change but we never discussed cost….will check that for sure first. Thanks!
@BlondeMissMolly: I was planning to order a loose amora moissy from moissaniteco when the time comes, they seem to have a good return policy if you’re not happy. What was it you didn’t like about the moissy? Was it amora or regular?

I personally LOVE your E-Ring as it is… but then I am a Diamond Girl from way back when.
I also LOVE your W-Band, because it is so original. IF you can manage the two on your finger I think they’d look awesome together. Sadly, I’m not much of a Photo Shop gal, so I can’t do the graphics for you (but I’d sure love to see what your W-Band & E-Ring will look like on your Ring Finger).
The good news, is if your E-Ring and W-Band don’t fit on the same finger… your E-Ring will most certainly rock your Right Hand
If I may, I’d like to ask you a few questions about your proposed W-Band…
1- Is it a true Eternity in that the stones go all-away around, or is it a partial (if a partial is it a half-Eternity or a three/Quarters?)
2- And, can I ask where you ordered your W-Band from? As a Jewellery Lover, I’d like to know what else they have on offer.
PS… Like @BlondeMissMolly:, I think you might want to order the replacement stone, and take a look at it BEFORE you make a definitive decision.

@This Time Round: thanks 🙂 the W-band is a half eternity. I actually found it on overstock.com another be found her Goregeous band there and it prompted me to look).
They have a whole section on wedding bands, I actually found mine in the “fine jewelry” section under rings-diamond. They have a number of different color options. Great prices too. I found rings or equal quality in brick and mortar stores for 3 times the price 🙂

@SupermansSweetheart: Yes I ordered from moissanite co as well and I had no problems sending it back. I ordered a 1.5 ct equivalent amora and it was visibly (to me, SO, and my mom) quite yellow. It looked better at night under fluorescent light, but I couldn’t justify keeping something I only liked part of the time. SO and I compared to a diamond and it looked nothing like a diamond….plus I realized I really wanted a diamond. I sent it back.
Im not trying to diss moissanite because I know many girls have it and love it, and that’s great! You might love it too, but I would recommend checking it out first. I may have gotten a dud.

@BlondeMissMolly: Good to know. I wonder if they sent you an unenhanced moissy by accident? I havent seen any in person yet but the only ones I’ve seen with a yellowish hue in the pictures are the Unenhanced moissy’s.
Im definitely going to order a loose one to check it out before I change anything on my ring. I don’t mind a little warmth as my diamond is between an H and I for colour but it’s definitely not yellow.

@SupermansSweetheart: Thanks a lot for sharing the info. I checked out their website, they have a lot of nice things… some of them quite unique (always on the hunt for “different” pieces). YES, and as a fellow Canadian I can relate on pricing and choices… definitely a lot more going on south of the border (lol, rarely go for a visit to the US and don’t bring home some trinket… be it costume jewellery or real)
