With Christmas rolling around, I’m trying to help my Dad get a gift for my mom that she’ll actually appreciate (not that she isn’t usually grateful, but my Dad has been buying her the wrong shades of nail polish, wrong sizes in clothes, and not-needed appliances for the past 20 years of their marriage, lol, bless his heart). She’s mentioned in passing how she’d really like to convert our old VHS home videos into DVDs…
…So, I am coming to the Hive asking if anyone has ever done this. If so, do you recommend a particular company or doing it yourself?

I know that a place near my house does it–it’s a little random to find places that do! I would google places in your area and see if they have any reviews on google or other review websites.
Good luck! That sounds like such a sweet gift… we actually watched some home movies of my first through sixth birthdays about a month ago. it was so funny!

You can also buy a machine that will let you copy/transfer. Depending on how many you have, it may be more economical to just purchase the machine. Brookstone has this one:
