Hi

I’m from Newcastle, but I work in Sydney if that counts πŸ˜€

I found my dress at Sweethearts Boutique at Blacktown.  I had a really bad experience in a boutique local to where I live.  So it was awesome to walk in there (actually dragged in by my mother) they were so nice and helpful.

Other than that my wedding doesn’t have a lot more to do with Sydney.

We are getting married on the shore of Lake Macquarie, and our celebrant is Philip Greentree.

We are less then 5 months out, and I am really excited.

How are things going for you?

I’m an oldie around here, but a Sydney bee. πŸ™‚

We actually tried a few dresses on @ Sweethearts, Blacktown. Which dress did you decide on, @Firie?

@ms.sara:  We had our reception at Curzon Hall.

@jaguar:  I ordered Ella by Essense 5434.  Still waiting for it to come in.  I think I still have another 2 months to wait, because Ella has an 8 month lead time.

Hello Sydney bees!

The first time I went dress shopping was at Fashions by Farina, I went with a friend and it wasn’t as amazing an experience as I imagined πŸ™ They do have lovely dresses. I ended up buying my dress while on holidays in USA, it was only my second time looking and I didn’t plan on buying anything but I found the one! It is actually in the mail right now, should be getting it in a week or so…too excited!! I am kinda sad that I didn’t get to go on more dress shopping trips as I never went with my mum and sisters. Oh well πŸ™

@Firie:  Your dress is wonderful!!! The wedding is so close! Hope all is going well πŸ™‚

@jaguar:  I loved Curzon Hall! You will have a public holiday for your wedding anniversary πŸ™‚ Any advice for actual wedding day? Does it go as fast I think it will!

@ms.sara:  We have the same date!!! πŸ˜€ Tea Room QVB is amazing!! Love it there! We have booked our reception at Sergeants Mess! Confident on the Grand Pacific Group πŸ™‚ We are getting married at a church in Mosman, where will you be having your ceremony? 10 months to go as of tomorrow!! πŸ™‚

@jaguar:  Sorry, I missed your reply.  Sleeves aren’t attached, its a Bolero.  I actually got a phone call last week to say  that she had arrived a whole 3 months early.  So will be going in for my first fitting in about 2 weeks.  Can’t wait!!!

@MrsShaw2Bee:  We are now at less than 4 months.  I am super excited.  We have had some dramas.  But I’m letting it go at this point.  Feeling a little under the pump just trying to make sure that I cross all the Ts and dot all the Is so to speak.

have many of you lovely ladies purchased your FIs ring yet?  I have tried to find a mens ring that I like.  But all I seem to find are plain gold wedders, and I really wanted to get him something special seeing as he got me something special.

Any suggestions?

I’m a Sydney bride! πŸ™‚

+3  Sweethearts at Blacktown. I didn’t get my dress from there but it was definitely one of my favourite dress shops

Loving all the venue choices.. Curzon Hall is really pretty and Sergeants Mess, wow.. very jealous!

Our latest goal has been to find FH a suit. Definitely hit up the Myer and DJs stocktake sales that are on at the moment. There are some great bargains around

@ms.sara:  Hello again!! I loveeee Pronovias dresses, I would have definitely got one if I hadn’t got mine overseas, which style did you go for? πŸ™‚ Marble bar is so beautiful!!!

@Firie:  We did purchase wedding bands already, Fiance decided on a platinum double milgrain band. It is very plain but he likes that. He won’t be able to wear it to work due to his job but in case he did I think it would be durable.

@ozpeony:  Definitely need to get into looking for suits there, thanks so much! Your wedding is coming up fast!! Have you got much to do still?

We just finished making SaveTheDates this weekend and have booked in our florist and made an appointment with cake bakery…have narrowed down dj/entertainment but not booking just yet. It is all happening!! Except my dress has been in customs for about 2 weeks now. Not happy about that, they are so slow!! Yell

@ms.sara:  No probs! I really liked the brand Joe Black at DJs.. I saw some suits for $279 and they have quite a range of colours from memory. Probably the best bang for your buck brand In My Humble Opinion… we would have gone with them but they didn’t have any sizes for FH πŸ™

I am also a big fan of Rhodes and Beckett, Saba and Versace suits. Or were you looking specifically for tuxes?
