Symptoms Before BFP?

I’m 10w3d and we were not trying to get pregnant so I wasn’t really paying attention to symptoms, but I remember having heartburn a few days before I got my BFP which was unusual for me, as I never get heartburn. I also remember feeling nauseas at the smell of my favorite Cherry Pie candle (still can’t smell it). I didn’t test until CD33 though so those symptoms were probably at like 10-12 days PO.

janvier :  You could definitely be pregnant. But the symptoms you are having now would not be from pregnancy, they are from high progesterone because, like others have said, it’s too early to have actual pregnancy symptoms as your egg (if its fertilized) hasn’t implanted yet.

I only ttc’d for 2 cycles and got pregnant on the second one so I don’t know how reliable my answer is since I didn’t really know my cycle (I was on the pill for 10 years prior to these cycles). My first cycle in the tww I had horrible pms symptoms. In the second one I had only 2: heart Burn and tons of discharge. I also got a weird gush of bright red blood at 11dpo. I got my bfp at 12dpo and I’m 18 weeks now!

I had some mild cramps a few days before my BFP and also sore boobs. Both are typical pms symtoms for me!

I had some crazy constipation and trapped air before my BFP—plus I felt like a cold was coming on. However, I’ve also had those symptoms before and they turned into an actual cold….or just bad digestion. I don’t think you can ever be CERTAIN that symptoms are related to pregnancy–it’s really easy for me to go back in hindsight and give you a laundry list of what I felt that was unusual but in reality everything could have just been a symptom of af or illness.

Especially for people who are actively trying, it’s sooo hard not to symptom spot, but it’ll drive you crazy, so try not to do it 🙂

SO many of my BFN months I experienced those- I think it was just a placebo effect of me wishing I were pregnant.  The month of my BPF I was just more tired than usual.  I thought I was coming down with a flu because it was going around and fatigue is how being sick always starts.
