During my first trimester I had a few mornings and evenings of sickness, but for the most part it wasn’t anything too bad. When people asked how I was feeling I’d always reply ‘just fine!’ It didn’t seem too bad to puke three or four times a week in grand scheme of things. However, now that I’m 19 weeks, I find that my symptoms are getting worse. Isn’t this abnormal? My doctor said it gets better in the second tri, but for the last three weeks I’ve thrown up every day. Usually multiple (3-4) times in the morning, and often twice as many times in the evenings just before bed. But I always manage to keep lunch down?
I’ll definitely talk to my doctor about this – and after last night puking well over 20 times… I’ll have to, since my husband is pretty panicked – but I was just wondering if anyone else experienced a WORSE second trimester than their first? Isn’t this supposed to be the easy trimester?

JackieDe: my symptoms came and went. the second trimester was by far the best but I wasn’t necessarily symptom free the whole time. Everyone responds didferently to the changing hormone levels. I’m sure there is no cause for concern, Just stinks you don’t feel well! Hope it passes soon!
eta- just saw how much you were puking! Maybe your doc can give you Some meds? I would call and ask if you don’t hve an appointment coming up soon. Are. You able to keep fluids down? Just dont let yourself get dehydrated.

I had almost zero symptoms in my first trimester. A little tired and some mild queasiness here and there. But just at the end of the first trimester and into the second, I felt terrible! Headaches and migraines constantly and so tired (though I was probably tired from all the headaches)!
The internet says everything is so great in the second trimester, but I disagree! Well, it is for some but pregnancy is so different for every woman.

Second tri sucked. It started out with me getting cold sores, ear aches, headaches among a plethora of other things. It was truly terrible. Honestly the first trimester for me was pretty much a breeze despite being tired and a little nauseous.

I am pregnant right now and ran into an old high school friend at the grocery store today who told me she puked straight up until 22 weeks with her second. Seems everyone handles every pregnancy different

Speak to your doc four sure. I hope you don’t have the same thing Duchess Kate had.
My symptoms were awful in the 1st trimester but 2nd has been going smoothly so far. I’m at week 17. I have the occassional ‘bumps’ in the road but otherwise great.
